With its advanced third generation common rail, direction-injection turbo diesel technology, Kyron runs cleaner and more effi ciently without compromising on performance. In fact, an efficient diesel particle fi lter system in the exhaust ensures its emissions are cleaner than most equivalent sized petrol engines, with a low CO2 rating of just 195g/km (source: JATO Dynamics). So now there’s a cleaner alternative to those less friendly gas guzzlers you see around town.

The smooth, quiet 2.0L XDi diesel engine develops an impressive 104kW @ 4,000 rpm and maximum torque of 310Nm @ 1,800rpm so, as SUV’s go, the Kyron really goes.

There are also switches on the steering wheel and gear knob that allow manual gear changing.

YOUR OWN BODYGUARD
No one expects to be in a collision, but should the unthinkable occur, Kyron is built to keep you and your loved ones safe. Driver and front passenger SRS airbags and front and rear side curtain SRS airbags are all standard.

Kyron’s electronic stability programme (ESP) integrates active systems that contribute data on the vehicle’s status. If the data suggests danger, Kyron’s ESP will instantly take control of the engine output and ABS braking to ensure that the vehicle stays on course. One of these systems is called active rollover protection (ARP), which automatically responds whenever it detects an unstable condition leading to a potential rollover, and rapidly applies the brakes with a high burst of pressure to the appropriate wheels, to interrupt the rollover before it occurs.

The Kyron’s ultra-light frame features triple-layer construction to absorb and disperse shocks and impacts. This means less vibration during normal operation, longer durability overall and greater safety in a collision.
