The ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) constantly monitors road conditions and automatically adjusts engine output and braking whenever it senses the driver is about to lose control. ESP integrates the ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System), ARP (Active Rollover Protection), anti-slip regulation and brake-force assist to improve the Rexton’s intervention capabilities.

ARP (Active Rollover Protection) is the next advance in electronic stability control systems and can help prevent rollover accidents by detecting a potential rollover situation, working to help the driver keep the vehicle on all four wheels. ARP automatically responds whenever it detects an unstable condition leading to a potential rollover, and rapidly applies the brakes with a high burst of pressure to the appropriate wheels – to interrupt the rollover before it occurs.

The Rexton’s ultra-light frame features triple-layer construction to absorb and disperse shocks and impacts. This means less vibration during normal operation, longer durability overall and greater safety in a collision. A sophisticated direct injection system boosts power and increases fuel effi ciency for a cleaner more economical operation. Maximum torque is delivered smoothly over virtually the entire rpm range, providing quick engine response and outstanding acceleration when passing.

The Rexton uses All Wheel Drive technology (AWD), which means that in normal driving conditions most of the power is allocated to the rear wheels, but should road conditions worsen and the wheels start to slip, the system will automatically transfer more torque to the front wheels for great stability.
